When Do We Leave?
Since the sun’s got its own schedule (and refuses to stick to one), our departure time changes throughout the year. But here’s the deal: we’ll head out about three hours before sunset, giving you plenty of time to splash, explore, spot dolphins, and soak up Shell Island. Then we’ll cruise into position for the main event—the sunset—and head back to the dock once the sky’s put on its show.

River Springs Adventure
Ready to do something wild?
Climb aboard our small, guided John boat and journey deep into Florida’s untouched wilderness. Just a 30-minute drive north on Hwy 79, we’ll meet at the ramp at 8:00 a.m. sharp and launch into a 4–5 hour adventure through winding jungle rivers, past towering cypress and tupelo trees, and into crystal-clear freshwater springs that are absolutely out of this world.
This one’s for the true nature lovers—think birds, gators, wild beauty, and total serenity. With space for only 3 guests, this intimate tour takes you to places most people never even knew existed.
Important: This excursion involves getting in and out of a small boat and possibly the water. Guests must be physically able to do so without assistance. It’s not recommended for those with mobility challenges or significant physical limitations.
Bring your snorkel gear, a small cooler, and your sense of wonder. We’ll return to the boat ramp between 12 and 1 p.m., but you’ll leave with a whole new view of wild Florida.

Yes will will be near shore when in the water for you to explore the amazing islands.

There are no restrooms at the residence or on Shell Island.
Is the boat shaded or covered?
Not a lot of shade on board the vessel. Bring your sunblock and a good hat.
How many people will be on the boat?
Up to 6 Passengers Only.
Do I need to know how to swim?
No, Life Jackets will be provided on board.
Do I need to be physically fit to join this excursion?
No but being on a vessel is sometimes rocky due to the movement of the water. Precautions are Necessary
Is it easy to get in and out of the boat, especially from the water?
Going up and down the ladder does require strength and agility.
Is this suitable for young children or older adults?
5 and under should have their own life jackets to board vessel.

What happens if the weather is bad?
This happens in our area often due to late afternoon showers and storms. Do to Weather cancelations will be rescheduled or refunded.

We get it—plans change! If you need to cancel your sunset tour, just let us know at least 24 hours in advance and you’ll receive a full refund, no problem.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled tour are non-refundable.
We appreciate your understanding, as we reserve the boat and block the time just for you.
